It's lit really beautifully and I like the contrast between the background and him. He is really streamlined and silky, while the background is quite detailed and buzzing. Fantastic!

well, i think you can find colored version of him in the anime or something.. or the artbook

since you mentioned it, maybe you can try doing a piece with Ichigo, Rukia, and kon in it (or more characters ^^)

Ukitatke-taichou!

I love the way he's practically glowing in the light.

The white glowy effect together with the vivid blue background makes the artwork shine!
And there is way too little fan art with Ukitake out there.

I noticed one tiny thing though... I think there is something slightly off with the shadows on the knuckle of his middle finger (Is that what it's called in English?). Why is there a shadow at the top? Should not that part be catching light?

It's just a teeny tiny detail, but I didn't get it. So thought I should mention it to you. ^^
